1. Shadows are the longest at the beginning and end of the day when the sun is closest to the horizon.


2.  Shadows are the shortest at the middle of the day when the sun is at it’s highest point in the sky.


3.  The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.


4.   When the sun is rising the shadows on Earth are cast to the west.


5.   When the sun is setting the shadows on Earth are cast to the east.


6.  In the middle of the day the sun’s shadow will barely stretch out from an object.


7.  If the sun is directly in front of an object the shadow of that object will be cast behind it.


8. In the morning a shadow would be long and cast towards the west.


9.  In the evening time shadows are long and cast towards the east.
