                  with Words

Under the column labeled Word you will see a list of some of the vocabulary/spelling words.  Write the definition of the word in the boxes under the label My Definition using your own words.  DO NOT copy from the dictionary.  Then under the label My Sentence write a complex sentence using the word. A COMPLEX SENTENCE is a sentence that contains an independent clause with one or more subordinate clauses. We use complex sentences when we want to provide more information to support our point. For example:

'Salihah didn't get a treat after dinner, because she didn't do her homework on time'.

Make sure you capitalize the starts of your sentences, any proper nouns and use correct punctuation.  You MUST spell the word correctly when you write your sentence.
